Drive to Filerimos. Visit the ruins and foundations of the Temple of Zeus Polieus, the temple of Athena ( ancient goddess of wisdom) and a doric fountain.
Also visit the medieval church of Our Lady of Filerimos and church of St George, which has wall-paintings dating back to the 14th and 15th century. Walk through “via dolorosa” a Golgotha with the “12 stations of the Crucifixion”, the striking scenes from the Passion leading to a huge cross.
Return back to Rhodes for a panoramic drive over the Monte Smith Hill which offers a magnificent view of the Aegean and the City.
