Depart for Patras town center to visit its archaeological museum, with its 8,000 m² it is the second largest museum in Greece after the National Museum in Athens. It traces the history of the region and the town, from the prehistoric era to the late Roman period. Then you will visit the Basilica of St. Andrew the Apostle, which has a seating capacity of 5,500 it is the largest Byzantine style church in Greece and the Balkans. It contains the relics of the apostle St. Andrew. The dome of the church is approximately 50m high. Twelve other domes surround the central dome, symbolizing Jesus and the twelve apostles. Our tour continues to the Achaia Clauss vineyard. Achaia is the region where the sweet red Mavrodafni wine originates. The region of Patras, received appellations for its Mavrodafni and sweet Muscat. The internal procedure until the bottling of the wines will be explained to you and You will taste 3 wines: a white wine, a dry red wine and the famous red sweet “mavrodafni ”wine .
